Stockport Easter Competition
This was a good competition on a number of levels:
Good to see a new club competing for the first time, Crewe and Nantwich, and that old friends returned to the usual friendly comp with all clubs winning medals. No overall trophies for SSoG, but some very pleasing performances from gymnasts with Becky Mooney performing our first double back on the Bars. Rochdale took the trophy for best team and all gymnasts received Easter eggs.
The help from parents from setting up, through the day and with putting away was good and a big thank you to all who helped out. It was much appreciated. We also managed to find 19 judges, no mean feat for a small local competition.
We also raised over £1,000 from the door money, raffle and refreshments, which will be donated to Ollie’s Army to support Jennifer Lamberts grandson, who has Battens disease. More details can be found on his Facebook page
