August Bank Holiday

Not holiday fun, volunteer parents in the gym sorting out the lights.

The amount of chalk used in the gym means that the atmosphere can be a bit dusty and over the last 18 months the lighting levels have fallen, so time to clean the lights. Easy really, just wash each of the 27 glass plates. Slight issue in that they are 6.5m in the air and to move the scaffold around the gym the floor, beams and bars need to be moved round. The old joke of how many people does it take to change a light bulb comes to mind…

Lots of families gave up their bank holiday and helped out so many thanks. All sorted now and looks brighter in the gym. There was also time to do some painting.

Its a long way up and a bit wobbly, not for the faint hearted.
