We said goodbye to ex-gymnasts and current young coaches, Hannah Ratcliffe and Sarah Potter. Both passed their A levels in August and are going to Leeds to get their degrees. It is always sad to lose good coaches, but they will return during holidays and we wish them good luck with their studies.

The club took them out for a meal at Nandos and each received a gift voucher.

Lilleshall 2010

E-mail Print PDF

We are just back from a fantastic weekend at Lilleshall. 19 gymnasts and 8 coaches descended on the National Sports Centre on the evening of Friday 23rd July and spent 2 long full days in the state of the art facilities as used by our UK teams. It was good to have the use of pits, unavailable at Dialstone, which helped with preparations for new moves for almost all the gymnasts. The rooms were good, the food excellent and the experience is something the gymnasts will never forget and the coaches will use to push the club to new heights.

Total Wipe Out

E-mail Print PDF

We are talking about the popular BBC1 gameshow, not a SSoG gymnast flicking on the beam. The Manchester auditions for potential contestants was held this weekend in the Armitage Centre and all of the equipment was supplied by SSoG. Will we be invited to Argentina for the show? Now that would be nice.

No Play Day for SSoG

E-mail Print PDF

So disappointing, but it is 8.00 4th August, raining hard and the forecast for the day is that there is more to come. Hence we cannot risk damage to the gym mats and so we will not be attending the National Play Day in Torkington Park today. Spread the news......
