Stockport School of Gymnastics

Twinning 2004

In 2004 Jeune Garde visited Stockport for what proved to be a sunny and warmish weekend. Old friendships were renewed and new friends made as we progressed through a busy couple of days.

2004 seemed to be the busiest visit yet. The Sunday outing was a change with a visit to Chester Zoo instead of the usual Theme Park.

Friday 30th May

Off to Staleybridge to pick up the gymnasts and coaches from Copley Recreation Centre. This year a suprise as they came through the tunnel and arrived early, in fact before we did.

It had been a long day but
why had Carol got odd socks on?

How many gymnasts are
allowed on at a time?

Saturday 1st May

Shopping with families in the morning and then into the gym for some lunch and some light hearted training and displays.

In the evening it was off to Parrs Wood for a spot of 10 pin bowling.

Sunday 2nd May

Chester Zoo for a long day when suncream was a requirement.

At the zoo we saw monkeys

On Sunday evening we had a farewell party in Bramhall. Presents were exchanged, we enjoyed a hot buffet and some danced rock & roll.
