Gymnast of

the Year 2014

Each year the club coaches vote for the gymnast, who in their opinion, has contributed to the club in an outstanding way, not only in competitions, but also in training, attitude and help around the club. Our winners are as follows:

 Grace Haughton

Grace has had a fantastic year both in the gym and in competition, and took the majority of the coaches' votes this year.

Her early success in the year was gaining her place on the Greater Manchester Grades Team for grade 12, where she placed 3rd Overall. But unfortunately could not compete in the finals due to holidays.

The Greater Manchester Open Championships was Grace's next big sucess, where she earned the silver medal overall, against gymnasts from across the country.

Grace has stepped up her competition level this year from novice to level 4 junior, and was crowned Level 4 Champion at the Greater Manchester Championships in November. This gained her another place on the Greater Manchester Team, this time she was able to compete in the level 4 team, where she aided her team to become team champions.

Grace has also been gymnast of the month 2 times this year, and is now competing many new moves and is just mastering her giants on bars.

At the Club Championships, Grace won the level 4 competition earning herself the title of club champion and was awarded the Frank Williams Trophy.

Well done Grace on a fantastic year!
